Practice
Practice and theory assignments are expected to be taken as seriously. During each lessons, the student and teacher will come up with a weekly practice goal. Students must practice to become proficient with their weekly assignments and move onto new material.
Parents are expected to provide a proper practice environment for their child. This environment should consist of a tuned and functional piano or a proper electric keyboard, and should be free from distraction. A proper electric keyboard to practice on should have a pedal and all 88 keys. For intermediate and advanced students, a real acoustic piano that is properly tuned will provide the best space to practice their more difficult technique and repertoire assignments.
Purchase of Music
Students are responsible for the purchase of their own piano books. Teacher will provide recommendations of materials to buy and the student must come to lessons prepared with them for each lesson. All recommended materials can be bought at either Morris Music, CB Music, or on Amazon for your convenience.
Teacher will occasionally provide sheet music of more difficult repertoire.
