Hello,
My name is Madison Holdorf and I am currently a Sophomore at Texas Christian University, majoring in Early Childhood Education to pursue a Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling.
I started my business about a year and a half ago (at the end of my Junior year of high school), but I started taking pictures (of anything and everything) my Freshman year of high school. I considered photography to be a hobby up until I took my photography class in high school the second semester of my Junior year. After taking that class, I realized that I wanted to make a lifestyle out of the art because it gave me so much joy when I would take pictures of my friends and they loved the portraits I would take.
I didn't start my business to find a way to make more money, I started it to make people happy and help them understand that they ARE beautiful. I hear people talk about how they think they're "not as beautiful" as another person or they're "not skinny enough." My goal is to help my customers (and everyone else) to realize their worth and that YOU are beautiful in your own way. That is the reason why I started this business.
When I'm not behind the camera, I'm usually studying at the Starbucks in Clear Fork, Fort Worth (the life of a college student) or I'm with my family, friends or sorority sisters. This past August, I pledged to be apart of the Gamma Psi chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha. Through this organization, I've already made lots of friends and have learned leadership skills that I'll use for a life time. I'm also apart of Zeta Tau Alpha's 2019 Programming Council. My position in Programming Council is Think Pink Assistant. As Think Pink Assistant, I help the Think Pink Chair plan events for our philanthropy, Think Pink Breast Cancer Awareness and Education, in the month of October for members of Zeta and TCU's student body to participate in.
