MADGIO FILMS presents Rose — a chilling new folk horror short from writer-director Christian Azzola, exploring how innocence can quickly descend into terror. Set against the eerie backdrop of coastal Hythe, Kent, the film captures a sense of quiet dread that fans of folk horror will instantly recognise. Rose is the third instalment in a thematic quartet of Kent-based films by Azzola, continuing his exploration of the uncanny in the everyday.

Starring Miranda Colmans, and shot by cinematographer Thomas Hall, the film hinges on a deceptively simple premise: an innocent game takes a sinister turn. In true folk horror fashion, what begins as play becomes peril, blurring the line between folklore and reality.
