Madeline Brandt

About.

I am an Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University.

I completed my PhD at UC Berkeley in May 2020 under the guidance of Bernd Sturmfels. My thesis was awarded the Kenneth Ribet and Lisa Goldberg Award in Algebra. Following this, I was an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow and Tamarkin Assistant Professor at Brown University.

Most people call me Maddie, and you are welcome to do so as well!

Mathematical Interests.

I am interested in tropical geometry and combinatorial algebraic geometry. If you'd like to learn more, check out the youtube page.
