Madeline Brandt

About.

I am a NSF Postdoctoral Fellow and Tamarkin Assistant Professor at Brown University. Starting in Fall 2024, I will be an Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University!

I completed my PhD at UC Berkeley in May 2020 under the guidance of Bernd Sturmfels. My thesis was awarded the Kenneth Ribet and Lisa Goldberg Award in Algebra.

Most people call me Maddie, and you are welcome to do so as well!

Mathematical Interests.

I am interested in tropical geometry and combinatorial algebraic geometry. If you'd like to learn more, check out the youtube page.
