My biggest supporters also known my family go along with every one of my adventures and new tasks. Let’s begin with my brother, Brandon. This kid is full of spunk and energy. He recently got his learner’s permit, so I am no longer his chauffer. Brandon, being my only sibling, makes our bond inseparable. Now to my parents, Randy and Stacy, my biggest fans and the strongest people I know. From the late-night talks with my dad to the girl’s days with my mom, I know that I will never have to worry about receiving endless love. I will never forget the memories made with them.
Paternal Grandparents
Maternal Grandparents
We cannot forget about my grandparents. I know for a fact I would not be the same person today without them. My maternal grandmother, Terry, was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2011. Her diagnosis has shaped my world and has helped decided my future career. We cannot forget about both my grandpa, Larry’s, yes you read correctly, I have two grandpa’s named Larry. Both provided me advice and laughter. Next up is my grandma on my dad’s side. Glenda is her name. This lady has a wonderful soul and is very talented in the kitchen. My love for cooking and bake definitely came from her. Family is the most important thing to me, and I will never be able to show all the amazing people how much I love them.

You heard about my life outside of school, so let me tell you about my life within the wall of Nemaha Central High School. I would say that I am a very organized student and nothing drives me crazier than a late assignment. My favorite part about school is class discussions and hearing everyone’s opinion. I am very much a people person, so being in school brings me great joy. Being involved in several clubs and extra-curricular activities takes most of my time up when I am not working or in class. I am involved in KAY Club, FCCLA, 4-H, FFA, SADD, C.L.A.S.S. Leadership, NHS, and softball. I chose each organization because they each have a common focus, but each club has a different focus. Taking a leading role is something I like to do, while inspiring others. These organizations have impacted my life and given me the opportunity to grow and meet new people.

My Senior Project
My steps after high school include attending Kansas State University to continue to learn about the world of dietetics and learning about the human body by studying kinesiology. Being a Wildcat has always been a goal of mine. I love the family and small town feeling that Manhattan holds. After graduating K-State with a Master’s degree in Dietetics I would like to work as a Sport’s Nutritionist or a Disease Specialist in a large hospital. Getting the Registered Dietitian credentials are important to me because I would like to help others like my Grandma. When she was first diagnosed she had to see a Dietitian; therefore, this person had a huge impact on her life. The Dietitian had the choice to make or break her diagnosis. Making it seem like my grandmother’s life was over, and she could no longer eat anything, but instead the Dietitian made it seem like her life was just beginning. I would like to have the same positive impact on people’s lives. I want to bring the bright side of patient’s new diagnosis into their life.

Traveling is so important to me and I love new and exciting places. My most recent travel was to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I have been to Florida before, but never on the coast. My family visited the Intercostal Waterway, the Florida Everglades, and visited the beach. Seeing the ocean and experiencing new things brings great joy to me. Another insight into my life would be my love for quotes. I have a Pinterest board just for quotes, the quotes range from motivational to just everyday funny quotes. My favorite quote/Bible verse is Psalm 118.6, “The LORD is on my side; I will not fear.” This verse means a lot to me and I think of it whenever I am starting new adventure or facing a challenging task.
