My Free Sound - a platform for free use SFX

IN WINTER - SHIVAM POTA 

LEAD SOUND DESIGN 

'In Winter'  is a short film that will air at the BFI UK Asian Film Festival. 

I was the lead sound designer and completed the film in Adobe Audition. 

RECLAIM - 2026 

JAMES DRAKE 

Reclaim is a short film about a Deaf photographer who comes out as Transgender, and how this affects the relationships around him. The film is performed in BSL. 

I did the sound design and recorded the audio. All audio post-production was completed in Adobe Audition. 

ENGLISH STREET - 2026 

For my Post Production Effects module in Media Production final year, I created this sound design.

 I used copyright-free sound effects, making the scenes feel homely and location-accurate. This was done in Audacity and Adobe Audition. 

I obtained a first in this project.

DYSTOPIA ROBOT SCIENCE LAB - 2026 

For my Post Production Effects module in Media Production final year, I created this sound design.

I used copyright-free sound effects to create scenes as atmospheric as possible. The theme was a robotic lab, so I created this audio with distance warfare to add a temporal link to the previous scenes and a tense feeling. This was done in Audacity and Adobe Audition. 

I obtained a first in this project.

ROBOT DYSTOPIA - 2026 

For my Post Production Effects module in Media Production final year, I created this sound design.

I used copyright-free sound effects to make the scenes. I aimed to create the tense atmosphere of a robotic battlefield, on which our character was resting from. This was done in Audacity and Adobe Audition. 

I obtained a first in this project. 

THE WALKING DEAD RE-DUB - 2024

For my video and sound editing in Media Production First year, we had a project to redub a scene from The Walking Dead. 

I used Foley and copyright-free sound effects to make the scene as atmospheric as possible. This was done in Audacity and Adobe Audition, and the Foley was recorded in Pro Tools.

 I obtained a first in this project. 

DOWNTON ABBEY REDUB - 2024

For my Media Production in First Year, we had a project to redub this introduction to Downton Abbey. 

I used Foley and copyright-free sound effects to make the introduction somewhat period-accurate and engaging. This was done in Audacity and Adobe Audition, and the Foley was recorded in Pro Tools.

 I obtained a first in this project.
