Benefits of Sharing Your Family Information

The genealogy community is based upon sharing -- the more people that share their family information with us, the better the results for everyone. By participating in the Maddeaux Genealogy Project you can do the following:

• help others who are searching for information that you have

• Protect your family history data from loss or damage. Your family tree becomes part of a readily- accessible database which is maintained by the Maddeaux family.

• Preserve your family history data so your descendants can access it.  What a wonderful gift for future generations!

Vital Records

Submit census, vital records, cemetery records, obituaries, etc. to be added to the website. Please consider sending us copies of birth, Bible, marriage, census, court, land, death, and cemetery records, obituaries, newspaper articles, family group sheets, pedigree charts, photographs, and other proofs and evidence you may have so that we can make these available to support the research efforts of other Maddeaux descendants.

Some basic information gathered on an individual includes:

• full name (maiden name of wife)

• birth date/location

• date died/location/burial location

• marriage date/location/church name

• divorce date/location

• spouse maiden name

• occupation

• children names etc.- identify which spouse had the children - where individual re-married.

• if child is natural or adopted

• photographs of individual

• other relevant/interesting information about an individual

Corrections

Offer additions or report errors in any information already presented here (e.g. website addresses, timeline, etc.).  Where possible supply a copy of an official document to support your request.
