I'm a licensed clinical psychologist and can help you with a variety of issues and themes, using a mix of system therapy, humanist therapy and CBT.
The different reasons why you could book an appointment with me would be:
stress and anxiety issues
emotion regulation
depression
trauma and complex trauma (PTSD, C-PTSD)
lifestyle changes and logistical accommodations (neurodivergence, chronic illnesses and fatigue)
autism and AD(H)D suspicion (no diagnoses, but coping skills with daily life issues. If necessary, we'll fill in a quick questionnaire to refer you to a specialist who is able to diagnose people)
LGBTQIA+/MOGAI - related issues
relationship issues
school related issues
some specific parenthood issues
...
If you can't find the reason in this list, you can always contact me to see if it's still something I'm competent to help you with, or to refer you to a colleague that would be a better match !
No mental health is possible without social justice. This is why I am continuously learning about discriminations and why I'm openly lgbt-friendly and polyaccepting. It is also essential for me to help to the best of my ability people who suffer from systemic discrimination that don't directly impact me, and to keep learning about those.
Appointments last 50 minutes and take place in person or in videoconference ( WhatsApp).
The fee is 70€* per appointment, either paid in cash or with Payconiq, or by bank transfer for video appointements.
The mask is still mandatory for in person appointments
This guarantees that you get the best care possible, while protecting me and other immunocompromised people.
In case of a last minute cancelation (less than 24 hours before the appointment), the entire fee is due. There are 2 exceptions to this rule: this was a medical emergency OR the appointment can be postponed during the same week (same place different time, other office or videoconference).
The fee is covered by all belgian health insurance companies, incl. Solidaris.
For teenagers who are under 18 y.o., the parents or legal representants of the teen all have to agree to the therapy, especially in cases of separation or divorce.
Appointments are strictly confidential as per the Deontology Code of Psychologists. If some informations are to be revealed to a third party, it will only happen if the patient specifically asks for it.
*Financial troubles shouldn't stop you from getting the healthcare you need. A social fee exists for those who need it, the only requirement is to tell me about it while booking an appointment. That fee can still be lowered a bit for videoconference appointments.
Wheelchair access is unfortunately not fully possible for any office. The office in Boondael can be accessed, just warn me in advance so that I can help out with the step at the entrance of the building, the whole office is on the ground floor otherwise. For Elea, the entrance door is a bit heavy and there are a few steps to get to the elevator to go to the 2nd floor (ground +2).
For people who have trouble getting to places or can't walk up or down stairs, I'd recommend videoconference appointments.
