Ultrahaptic make a cool piece of tech. It uses ultrasound to make it seem there is a physical object in mid air that you can feel.
I first found out about this at an event on Altspace VR and it turns out the company is not too far away from me in Bristol. This is something I would like to tryout the product as I have a number of projects I would like to use it for.
I am not an acoustic engineer and the following is just a concept idea for visualizing sound.
What it you could see the sound as well as feel it. I know this is already possible if you use the touch development kit with an AR or VR headset, but what if you could do it in a different way and I think I might have the solution without the use of a headset or display screen.
I have thought of a couple of ways to do this but really need to contact Ultrahaptic and see if they would allow me to visit them and I can try out their hardware.
