Middle Atlantic Division of the American Association of Geographers

MAD (Middle Atlantic Division) is a regional division of the American Association of Geographers (AAG), a national organization with more than 10,000 members from the United States and numerous other countries. MAD-AAG's nearly 350 members are located predominantly in Maryland, Northern Virginia, and the District of Columbia and represent a diverse variety of geography backgrounds and interests. As a regional division of the AAG, MAD elects officers, organizes special events, sponsors field trips, conducts an annual meeting, publishes a periodic newsletter, and sponsors a student paper competition and award. MAD-AAG membership is open to anyone within Maryland, Northern Virginia, and the District of Columbia with an interest in geography. Please visit our links below for more information.
