Digital work
"A digital painting about the grief of losing someone you love"
This painting depicts a moment when I paused before walking into my father’s room. To this day, I couldn’t tell you why I stopped. I just did. Something felt off. A small part of me thought I was in trouble. Instead, my father and stepmom were sitting on the bed, waiting for me. Waiting to tell me that my cousin, my best friend, had died.
That moment, right before I walked into the room, will forever be etched in my memory. I like to think that when I look at this painting, it’s as if, just for a moment, she’s still alive. As long as I stay in that hallway, she exists.
And Their Mediums

Grillz, decorative dental jewelry often made of gold, silver, or encrusted with jewels, have deep cultural significance in Black and hip-hop communities. They represent wealth, resilience, and self-expression, often serving as a bold reclaiming of luxury and style in the face of systemic exclusion. Despite this, grillz are frequently stereotyped as unprofessional or criminal, reflecting broader societal biases against Black fashion and cultural expression. This discrimination reveals how mainstream culture often embraces Black creativity while simultaneously policing the people who create it.
When I see someone wearing grillz, I see resistance. I see Black people reclaiming wealth, power, and visibility in a world that’s tried to silence us. Grillz aren't just fashion they're political. They're a statement that we belong, that we shine, and that we won't apologize for our culture.

Swamp Thing is my favorite character because he embodies true neutrality. He isn't driven by personal gain or emotion but by a deep connection to the Earth itself. He protects nature, even when it means going against humanity, and there is something powerful in that. Sometimes I envy his clarity and his ability to stand for something bigger without being swayed by the chaos of human politics or emotion.

This is one of my favorites, a custom painting I made for my mother. Her favorite animal is the zebra because unlike humans, a zebra's black and white stripes do not define it; they help it survive.
The stripes are not a mark of difference but a symbol of strength. Just like my mom, who has embraced her skin with pride and has always been a powerful example of what a strong, beautiful woman looks like to me.
