1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Macrolo (package name com.macro.lo), a calorie and macronutrient calculator and food diary for Android (the "App"), handles information. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2. Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information. The App does not require an account and does not send your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos or any other personal data to us or to anyone else.
3. Data stored on your device
To work, the App stores the following information locally on your device only: the age, sex, height, weight, activity level and goal you enter in the calculator, your calorie and macronutrient targets, your food diary entries (foods, portions and dates), custom foods and favorites you create, and your app settings such as sound. This information is saved in the App's private storage, never leaves your device, and is not accessible to us or to any third party. You can delete it at any time by using "Reset all data" in the App's settings, by clearing the App's data in your device settings, or by uninstalling the App.
4. Health and fitness information
Some of the information you enter, such as body measurements, activity or nutrition, may relate to your health and fitness. This information is used only on your device to calculate goals, estimates and statistics shown to you. It is never uploaded, shared or used for advertising. All calculations in the App are approximate estimates and are not medical advice.
5. Internet, advertising and analytics
The App works completely offline. It does not request internet access, does not display advertisements and does not include any analytics, tracking, crash reporting or third-party advertising services.
6. Permissions
The App does not request any permissions.
7. Sharing of information
Because we do not collect any personal information, we do not sell, trade, rent or share it with anyone.
8. Data retention and deletion
Your data remains on your device for as long as you keep it in the App. Deleting it through the App's settings or uninstalling the App removes it permanently. Depending on your device settings, Android system backup may include app data in your personal device backup, which is controlled by you and your backup provider, not by us.
9. Children's privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no personal information is collected, none is stored or processed by us.
10. Security
Your data is kept in the App's private storage, which is protected by the Android operating system and is not accessible to other apps.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
