MacroArc is a nutrition and macronutrient tracking application developed by MindinmatrixDev (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how MacroArc handles information when you use the application.
MacroArc allows you to record information such as:
Meals, snacks, foods, and serving quantities
Calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat
Daily nutrition targets
Food diary history and preferences
This information is stored locally in the app’s private storage on your device. MindinmatrixDev does not operate a user-account server and does not receive or centrally store your food diary or nutrition targets.
Depending on your Android device and backup settings, Android or Google may include app data in device backup or device-transfer services. Those services are controlled by Google and are subject to Google’s privacy policies.
MacroArc requests camera access so you can scan food barcodes.
Camera images are analyzed on your device to identify a barcode. MacroArc does not save camera images or upload photographs or video to MindinmatrixDev.
After a barcode is recognized, the barcode number may be sent to Open Food Facts to retrieve product names and nutrition information.
You can deny camera permission and continue using MacroArc’s manual entry and food-search features.
MacroArc uses public food-information services to provide search and barcode results.
When you use these features:
Food-search terms may be sent to USDA FoodData Central.
Recognized barcode numbers may be sent to Open Food Facts.
Your device may automatically provide technical network information, such as an IP address, to those services when making a request.
Restaurant information included in MacroArc’s offline catalog can be searched without sending the search to MindinmatrixDev.
Information returned by third-party food databases may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. The applicable third party controls its own information practices:

MindinmatrixDev does not currently use MacroArc to collect:
Names, email addresses, or account passwords
Precise location
Contacts
Photos or videos
Advertising identifiers
Payment information
Analytics or advertising profiles
MacroArc does not currently contain third-party advertising or developer-operated analytics.
MindinmatrixDev does not sell or rent personal information.
Search terms and barcode numbers are transmitted only when required to request food information from the external services described in this policy. Those services may process the request under their own privacy policies.
We may disclose information if legally required or if necessary to protect users, our rights, or the security of the application.
Food diary information and preferences remain on your device until you:
Delete or modify the information within MacroArc;
Clear MacroArc’s storage through Android settings; or
Uninstall MacroArc.
Any copies retained by an Android backup service are controlled by that service and its retention practices.
Because MindinmatrixDev does not maintain MacroArc user accounts or a central food-diary database, we generally cannot remotely access, recover, or delete information stored on your device.
MacroArc uses Android’s private application storage to help prevent other applications from directly accessing its local information. Network requests are made using encrypted HTTPS connections.
No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
MacroArc is intended for general nutrition logging and informational purposes. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Nutrition values may be estimates or may originate from third-party databases. Users should verify information when accuracy is important and consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding medical conditions, dietary requirements, or health decisions.
MacroArc is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. MindinmatrixDev does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through MacroArc, contact us using the address below.
External food-information services may process requests in countries other than the country where you reside. Their handling of information is governed by their respective privacy policies and applicable laws.
We may update this Privacy Policy when MacroArc’s features or information practices change. The updated policy will be posted at the same public address with a revised “Last updated” date.
