This is my graphic design portfolio! Since high school I've done a bunch of miscellaneous graphic design projects, including personal branding, logo design, social media branding & design, poster design, and apparel designs.

I originally designed a version of this MQ Logo when I first started my photo account. I posted any and every type of project I was working on at the time. When I decided to focus the account entirely on photography, I also decided to rebrand from MQ Creative to Mac Quist Photo. I really liked the original MQ Creative logo, but couldn't find the original file, so I decided to redesign it and ended up with the current logo.
I have three variations I primarily used, the MQ PHOTO is used primarily on my photography account and MAC QUIST PHOTO is used as a secondary logo for the "brand". The third variation I use is the MQ, this is the one I've used on a handful of personal projects. I really like the simplicity of the new logo, and love that I can change PHOTO in the logo to any descriptor.
I've seen posters like these all over Instagram and Etsy, so I decided to take a crack at it with my favorite series. Star Wars has always been my favorite movie series. I've watched the entire series multiple times, but I've seen the original trilogy countless times. My favorite part of this style of poster is it can feature an iconic frame from each of these movies. One of my other favorite style of poster online is where they take a color to represent each scene of the entire movie, so I decided to implement a bit of that into my posters with the bars of color just below the movie frame. I think it differentiates my version of these posters from others I've seen online. After finishing the main posters, I wanted to see what it would be like to have a black & white and a blue version of the movie frames. In the end I like the full color versions but I'd happily display any of these.

CineMacs is another Instagram account I was going to start using to track the movies I'm watching or am interested in. Right away when designing I landed on the three bars and really loved it. It became the primary logo on just about everything I designed for the account. The alternate logo became the three bars mark, along with the account name - CineMacs
After scrolling through a ton of Instagram profiles, I started focusing on the Highlights section. I noticed I didn't really like it when the covers are all completely different, but I also didn't love it when they're all exactly the same. So I decided on using an off white bar logo with a colored background, and it was perfect.
When I designed these posters I had recently watched a bunch of videos and read up on the history of NASA, specifically the Apollo Program, the Space Shuttles, and the Artemis Program. I just found all of it really interesting and ended up looking for a set of posters of some of the rockets. After looking around for a while I couldn't find anything I really liked, so I made my own. When I took graphic design classes in high school, one of the projects we did was doing low-poly designs. So I decided to make these low-poly versions of the Saturn V, Space Shuttle Discovery, and Artemis 1 rockets. I'm really proud of how these turned out and am excited to get them printed and displayed.

In my first year of college at Augsburg I got the idea for the design of the Original MN Cutout Design, hoping to make a bit of money selling them online to friends and family. A few years later I decided to think up a couple more designs and landed on these among many worse designs. The Star Design was partially inspired by a proposed flag redesign for Minnesota, that ended up being one of the finalists for the final redesign. I really liked the star design and wanted to make a version of my own. The est. 1858 Design was originally part of a larger badge design, but I ended up liking it so much I left it on it's own. The Mn Cutout Design is just one of a handful of variations and colorways of similar designs, but I really like the specific gradient on this one, and the simple Mn Design.
