Jerah Zy Sheets, guest instructor from Yoga with Jerah LLC - pronounced like Sarah but with a J instead of a S. I began practicing yoga in 2004 as part of a rehabilitation process for an ankle athletic injury. Once fully recovered, I continued to explore yoga for its physical and mental benefits, making it a regular part of daily life for the past 20+ years. In 2025, I earned the Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) certification through Yoga Alliance.
I am passionate about teaching yoga to people of all bodies, abilities, ages, and fitness levels. The focus is on proper alignment, thoughtful sequencing, and breath-led movement to create a safe and mindful practice. I guide you toward your individual goals while promoting overall well-being and any individualized modifications needed.
Believing in the power of community, I combine structured and playful sequences that offer various options to safely challenge the body and expand the mind. For me, mind-body balance is essential for a healthy, fulfilling life.

Hi, I’m so glad you’re here. 🤍
I’m a RYT 200 graduate of Breath For Change Yoga Teacher Training. Along with my Yoga certification, I also hold my SEL certification, which deeply influences the heart-centered, connection-focused space I create in my classes.
Yoga, to me, is more than movement — it’s a pathway to joy, connection, and coming home to yourself. I’m passionate about the relationship between body and soul, the healing power of breath, and the sacred pause of meditation. I feel a deep connection to the source of all love, and I teach from that place — grounded, open, and genuine.
As a mom to a beautiful daughter, I understand the tenderness and strength that life asks of us. I’m especially passionate about trauma-informed and grief yoga, as well as somatic healing practices. I gently weave together movement, breathwork, meditation, and emotional awareness to create spaces where students feel safe, seen, and supported.
I’m so excited to begin teaching at the Yoga Co-op in Macomb and to continue building meaningful connections within this community.
My intention is simple: to help you reconnect — to your body, your breath, your truth, and the love that lives within you. I can’t wait to practice together. ✨
