This forum is open to all healthcare providers, learners, and affiliate professions in Michigan and the surrounding areas. The goal of this symposium is to exchange ideas pertaining to the health of our community. For training programs, this also meets ACGME scholarly requirements.

Keynote
Dr. Robert Flora will be speaking on, "Quality Improvement and Health Care Disparities," describing how students, residents, and faculty can integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion into their quality improvement projects.
Dr. Flora serves as Chief Academic Officer/ VP of Academic Affairs /Designated Institutional Officer for McLaren Health Care. He is responsible for the system’s teaching hospitals meeting all applicable requirements set by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and supervising all academic-related scholarly activity. He also holds the position of Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine and Clinical Professor at the College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was recently elected to Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) Board of Directors where he will serve a three-year term as a Designated Director to the MSMS board, serving as the board’s Designated Institutional Official (DIO) representing the interests of the state’s Graduate Medical Education (GME) community. The MSMS Board sets policies and oversees operations for the 15,000-member medical society headquartered in East Lansing.
