How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
If you want a rugged, open-ear pair built for sweaty workouts and long listening sessions, choose MAcnas Open Ear Earbuds; if you need tiny, nearly invisible earbuds that disappear into small ear canals for side sleeping and discreet all-day wear, choose GUATTIR Mini Invisible Earbuds.
• MAcnas Open Ear Earbuds — biggest strength: IP67 dust/water resistance plus an open, clamp-over fit that keeps your ears uncovered while you run, ride or train.
• MAcnas Open Ear Earbuds — biggest trade-off: The open-ear design lets outside sound in, so it is not the pick for blocking out a noisy commute or a snoring partner.
• GUATTIR Mini Invisible Earbuds — biggest strength: Featherweight in-ear fit (about 0.08 oz per bud) aimed at small ear canals, side sleepers and anyone who wants their earbuds to go unnoticed.
• GUATTIR Mini Invisible Earbuds — biggest trade-off: In-ear sealing and sound isolation mean you hear less of your surroundings, which you do not want while running near traffic.
• Who each is for: MAcnas is for active, outdoor, sweat-heavy use; GUATTIR is for sleep, quiet focus and discreet wear.
The MAcnas Open Ear Earbuds are built around one idea: keep your ears open while you move. The clamp-over design hooks over the ear rather than plugging the canal, so there is no pressure building up inside your ear during a long run or a workout. In my opinion, that is the whole appeal here — you can hear your music and still hear a car, a training partner or a gym announcement.
On the technical side, MAcnas lists Bluetooth 6.0 with Google Fast Pair for Android users, an IP67 rating against dust, water, sweat and splashes, and a wireless charging case with a digital display so you can see the battery state at a glance. The spec sheet claims up to 35 hours of total playtime with a 6-hour average life per charge and a 3-hour charge time. Call quality is handled by ENC ambient noise reduction, and directional acoustic tech aims the sound at your ear to cut leakage.
Buy it if you run, cycle, lift or commute on foot and want earbuds that stay put while staying aware of your surroundings. Skip it if you mainly want to sleep with earbuds in, block out noise on a plane, or you dislike the look of a hook over your ear. It is also not the pick for anyone who wants their earbuds to be invisible — the open-ear shape is deliberately visible.
The GUATTIR Mini Invisible Earbuds go the opposite direction. Each bud weighs about 0.08 ounces, and the whole pitch is discretion: a tiny in-ear shell that sits deep, stays put and basically disappears once it is in. GUATTIR specifically calls out small ear canals and side sleepers — the two groups that usually give up on earbuds entirely because everything else hurts by hour two.
The numbers back the comfort story. You get a custom full-range dynamic driver for the sound, a microphone with noise reduction and echo cancellation for calls, and a 300mAh charging case that the brand says stretches total playtime to around 30 hours, on top of 5–6 hours per charge and a quick 1.5-hour charge time. Bluetooth 5.3 handles the connection with a rated range of about 10 meters, and a hall switch means the buds reconnect the moment you open the case. Controls are touch-based for playback, volume and calls — no buttons to hunt for in the dark.
Buy it if you sleep on your side, work in an office or open-plan space where you want audio without broadcasting it, or you have small ears and normal earbuds keep falling out. Skip it if you need situational awareness outdoors — the sealing, sound-isolating fit is the opposite of an open-ear design — or if you want maximum water and dust protection, which GUATTIR does not claim here.

If I had to pick one, I would buy the MAcnas Open Ear Earbuds — but only because my priority is training and being outside. The IP67 rating, the open-ear awareness and the longer claimed battery life are a better fit for how I actually use earbuds.
That said, if you sleep with earbuds in or your ears are on the small side, I would flip that recommendation in a second. The GUATTIR pair solves a problem MAcnas simply does not address: comfort for tiny canals and side sleepers, with a faster charge to match.
The MAcnas Open Ear Earbuds. They carry an IP67 dust and water rating, use an over-ear clamp fit that resists movement, and keep your ears open so you can hear what is around you. The GUATTIR pair is built for comfort and discretion, not sweat and weather.
Are the GUATTIR Mini Invisible Earbuds good for side sleepers?
MAcnas claims up to 35 hours total with a 6-hour average life per charge and a 3-hour charge time. GUATTIR claims up to 30 hours total with 5–6 hours per charge and a 1.5-hour charge time. MAcnas gives you more total runtime; GUATTIR refills faster.
