Reflections

This course on Natural Language Processing and Generative AI has been a transformative experience for me. It bridged the gap between theoretical foundations and real-world applications of modern NLP techniques. Through hands-on exposure to models like Whisper, BART, and T5, I understood how machines can process, summarize, and even generate human-like language. The most rewarding part was building a tool that automates lecture video processing—a real-life use case with direct benefits to students and educators. The course also opened my eyes to the ethical considerations, limitations, and future potential of language models, especially in education, healthcare and content generation. Moving forward, I see myself leveraging these skills in AI-driven product development, research, and even startup innovation.
