What is Machine Learning?

Machine Learning is an extension to the fundamental principle of Artificial Intelligence. Machine Learning uses Artificial Intelligence to gather data and to learn from them to produce data that is both useful and helpful to human beings. Artificial Intelligence is able to perform actions without the use of an explicit command or instruction directing the computer system to perform any task. Machine Learning builds on this strategy by applying the intelligence on the data that could be analyzed and understood and taken intelligent actions on.

How will you be Learning Machine Learning?

For starters, you’d need to have some experience with programming. Whether or not you have any sort of experience with programming and coding, Python is the best place to start. Python is on top of the list of languages that are capable of Artificial Intelligence programming. Python is the easiest language in terms of coding practices, libraries, functionality, flexibility and a lot of other aspects. Being so simple that it was once used to introduce kids into the programming world, it would take a programmer no time to be accustomed to the various syntax and semantics of Python. The libraries and modules in Python are always updated and mostly documented so you would have less of a headache there either.

Other languages such as LISP, PROLOG and even Java exist. But you would rather stick with Python since it is fast emerging into the main game. The older languages lack support and also got a good load of code and such crap that you wouldn’t want to bother much about.

Python has been at this for a very short time perhaps. But it sure does get the job done real good, arguably better than how the others could do at times.

Machine Learning having emerged into the mainstream quite well by now has plenty of applications.
