Mission Policy and Purpose

EVANGELIZE, EXALT, EDIFY, AND EQUIP THE SAINTS OF GOD FOR THE MINISTRY

To help achieve a clear sense of direction

To build confidence and cohesion in the total church ministry.

To give church membership and understanding of missions and consistent guidelines for conduct outreach activities. 

To promote thoughtful evaluations of crucial issues.

To avoid making important decisions on an emotional or haphazard basis.

To prevent confusion, inconsistency, misunderstanding, and hurt feeling.

To define the relationship of M.B.C. to both the missionary and the agency.

to insure better stewardship of human and financial resources.

To bring new mission officer members up to date, and to quickly familiarize them with issues faced in direction of the mission program.

To maintain consistency as mission officers change.

To inform church members, pastoral staff, other boards, ministry directors, of the church, missionaries, and agencies of the principles by which the board of mission (mission ministry) operates.

To insure accountability in the mission program.

To work in better harmony with M.B.C. leadership.
