45-60 minute commute

Fish Hawk is a large, master planned community with many smaller neighborhoods intertwined.

Some of the best schools in the county are here,

Tree lined streets, manicured lawns, community pools,parks, playgrounds, gyms, skate park & community events.

Fish Hawk does have an HOA and CDD fees, as well as some gated neighborhood areas.

Apollo Beach, FL

45-60 minute commute

Waterset is a large, master planned community in the South Shore area and the most popular in this area

This neighborhood is located near the bay, but most homes are not in a flood zone. You will be closer to the beaches!

Gyms,pools,sports courts,trails,a cafe,community events, splash pad

Waterset has an HOA & CDD fees.

South Tampa

10-20 commute

South Tampa is the closest area to MacDill.

Most homes will be in a flood zone & there aren't many community type areas. More of a city feel, South Tampa features older, usually smaller homes. The homes here could be more expensive for the size than the farther out areas.

Brandon, Fl

30 minute commute

Brandon is a central location to MacDill.

A mix of older and newer homes, communities & non-community areas.

Plenty of shopping, dining & everyday necessities are located here.

Homes have a wide range of prices & HOA/no HOA areas.

Riverview, FL

35-60 minute Commute

Riverview has many neighborhoods, most will be HOA. New homes mixed in with older homes, most are not in a flood zone.

Plenty of shopping and dining nearby.

Schools here have mixed ratings but overall are fine.

Wide range of prices & CDD/no CDD areas.

Wesley Chapel, Lutz, Land O Lakes, Zephyrhills

Roughly 45-60 minutes to MacDill

Newer homes mixed with older homes. HOA & CDD areas

Shopping & dining nearby but farther from beaches.

Valrico

45-60 minutes to MacDill

Great schools, older established areas, wider lots

Close to Brandon for dining & shopping

St. Pete

Drive Time - 20-35 minutes

Just over the Howard Franklin or Gandy Bridges is St.Pete. Similar to South Tampa for home types (older, smaller, flood zones) not many CDD or HOAs

There is a lot of growth happening here & the Central Ave area has plenty of bars, restaurants & little shops to explore.

Ruskin

Drive Time- 45-60 minutes

Ruskin is south of Apollo beach and Riverview

Offering newer homes & more affordability,

CDD &HOAs are more present here

Drive Time - 30-45 minutes

Typically older homes, can find larger lots sometimes.
