All students must check-in as soon as possible after arriving in the United States. This is required for your immigration status and is required by law. Students that fail to check in within 2 weeks of arrival will have a hold placed on their academic records.

Asylum seekers arriving in New York City will be directed to the arrival center. UNT Funding: If you have received UNT funding through a TA or GA position, the last date that you can arrive for Spring 2024 is determined by your academic department. You must receive a letter from your academic department on letterhead that indicates your approved late arrival date. After you have received this letter, complete the Late Arrival E-Form in iNorthTX to be approved for the updated arrival deadline. Students who will be arriving for International Student Orientation should be sure to notify and register with the International Office. Students who have a religious obligation can request early arrival to move in on a day that does not conflict with either a one-day religious holiday or the first day of a multi-day religious holiday. For 2023, students who need to arrive early to observe religious holidays will not be charged for Thursday, September 14 or Friday, September 15, 2023.

Immunizations: If you do not have any immunizations from your home country, please skip this step. You can get them when you arrive. However, if you have an immunization booklet, please send them in for review prior to your departure. What we require is two doses of the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella immunization. The immunization information you submit should be in English, display your name, include the name of the immunization(s) and dates taken, and be signed by a doctor.
