**Tutorials will take place during class period.**
MACA Labs: Students will learn how to work independently in the TV studio. They’ll learn how to direct with the tricaster, run studio cameras, run prompter, produce, write scripts and anchor one of the following shows: Inside HCISD, HCISD Spotlight, HCISD 60 Second Update.
Performing Arts Center (PAC) & After school events: Students are required to work several Performing Arts Center (PAC) and after school events. These events consist of plays, concerts, presentations at school, Homecoming parades and sporting events.
MACA Lettermen: Requirements consist of taking audio/video for the past 3 years and having 20 or more volunteer hours.
Clients: Students will team up with another student to meet with a local client from the community to produce and edit a commercial or presentation. The student will need to reach out to the client to approve script and set up time to record commercial. All communication between the client will be done by the student. This will be required for the semester or final exam. Student may choose the clientele.
15th Annual Student Film Awards: This is MACA’s big event, where school’s from across the valley send in their projects for a chance to win an Oscar. MACA students will be in charge of the event pre-production, production and post-production.
