The MultiCSD website was developed at Portland State University in the Speech & Hearing Sciences Department by Dr. Christina Gildersleeve-Neumann and 100+ graduate students in the Multicultural Topics in Communication Sciences & Disorders course starting in 2007.
This site summarizes expert information for clinical use by SLPs (Speech-Language Pathologists) and students when serving individuals from diverse linguistic & cultural backgrounds. Highly utilized by clinicians, professors, and students alike, the website aims to disseminate information on underserved populations in the field.
The site has pages on multilingualism and multiculturalism, working with culturally and linguistically diverse clients, Spanish-English bilingualism, and dozens of global languages and cultures.
