As a Pre-service teacher and a technology student, it is apparent that there will always be the need to be the best version of myself in anything that I do, and this subject gave me the platform to develop essential skills that I can use. I need to practice as early as now to be keen and flexible on everything, be it about work or life in general, most especially that the priority in this line of profession is the holistic development and the learning progress of the students.

Now that we are still here, in the trying times of pandemic, and having been subjected to the new course of learning which the online classes, we have no other choice but to still have to try and be progressive to still have an effective learning. With that, the use of ICT tools and other applications in enriching the lesson plays a vital role. With the application of the said tools, its potential use in instruction, now that everything is upgrading, it has a lot of possibilities.

ICT Tools and other applications provides ways in which both the teacher and the students can have an easy access on education and instruction. It's very engaging in ways that learners can do something with what they know and what they want to know. Information here is readily available and easy to process.

And aside from that, ICT tools' very essence is its actual use in communicating, disseminating and managing information. This ensures that learners get to be engaged more in learning, most especially now that we are in the distanced learning. Its integration in education has practicality in its usage.

The effective accessibility and sharing of resources, easy processing of information, expression of creativity and effective collaboration guarantees a productive and efficient learning. But all of this will boil down to the point of how the teacher will effectively utilize the the ICT Tools. He or She should should possess the needed skills and attitude in navigating the online world. The teacher should be the one to facilitate the students’ learning processes in a learner-centered teaching strategy by considering their level of learning, and which area they still need to focus more. And through the use of ICT tools and other applications, the teacher can develop and formulate instructional tools that are beneficial in helping students further their learning.

With the rate of my skills before attending this class, I can say that I haven’t achieved or I’m not yet on the level of excellence regarding technological skills. I mean, yes, I have some skills but not so refined yet. I have yet to actually excel and reach that certain point of excellence. But, with all of that being said, I was so happy that this subject was the driving agent behind my success on acquiring new skills and knowledge on technological advancement.

As I look back, I remember telling myself that I really want to develop my skills. And so, the drive that I felt was pungent. My intended actions was to further my knowledge through more exploration and practice to further my skills and develop excellently. And I was glad that through the many activities that Ms. Jamila gave us, I was able to push through and really learn new knowledge and skills. I was able to collaborate with friends and classmates and really expand my reach. I can say that my progress in this subject was really a success.

This subject along with its activities helped me develop 21^st century skills. With the skills, it has helped me keep up with the rapid advancement and innovations in this modern time. I was able to demonstrate my understanding of the different concepts, principles, and theories as they apply to teaching-learning. It gives me both the competence and confidence to continue my endeavor.

I love honing my talents so I see exploring the existing and emerging technology as an exciting activity to do. And aside from exploring, I also learn additional content and pedagogical knowledge that will help me progress more efficiently.

I also realized that the most important for me to do in teaching is we should utilize our knowledge to solve problems and be of use to support student collaborative activities in order for them to achieve their optimal learning progress.

Our top priority is the children. We should be competent enough to demonstrate what we actually needed to do. We should be knowing all the technicalities and other important operations so that there will be a continuous and progressive development on our student’s learning.

As an Educational technology student and as a future teacher, what I can do best is to develop my skills well and update myself with all the necessary knowledge to be able to be equipped, and ready for my future teaching profession. I want to be a 21st century teacher who is competitive and enabling to my 21st century learners who are globally competitive.

First of all, I could say that I enjoyed and learned a lot in this subject when it comes to the use of modern technology as a powerful tool in educating the 21^st century learners. The importance of technology is very highlighted particularly in todays’ situation of the world where the COVID-19 Pandemic is still existing, the world went virtual and we considered the use of technology as our connection to each other. In this subject, I realized that it is important to expand our knowledge and expertise when it comes to the use of technology such as laptops, computers, tablets, and other devices because we are teaching 21^st century learners. Knowing that mostly of the students have their own gadgets, as a teacher, why don’t we use those materials for an effective and modern learning. I also learn in this subject the importance of practicing etiquettes and proper conduct in using the technology. As a future educator, we should use technology as an effective medium for instruction and learning and not for any other purposes because it can give a wrong interpretation to others. For example, a teacher posted on her social media about her too daring looks and she has a social media friend from her students from this, it can bring a negative perception from her students.

In addition, this subject help us to discover different websites, and online tools to deliver an exciting lesson for the class. As the time goes by, it is very visible that the classroom style of teaching has significant improvement and changes. Now that we are in 21^st century learning, we should rely and upgrade our style of teaching depending on our students based on their preference learning style and approach. So, now that we are in the modern world we are integrating technology and innovation to make our discussion an interactive and memorable classroom discussion. Because I believe that it is easy to learn if the learning is based on our learning preference and style. Making this e-Portfolio helps me to discover and explore the use of technology. Unlike before, we need to store our files and it is very bulky and difficult to bring. Now, we have e-portfolio to compile our files on a storage as many as we want and it is very easy to access.

As a pre-service teacher, It is a great opportunity for me to take the subject (Prof. Ed 7) Technology for Teaching and learning 1 to expand my skills and expertise in using technology as a medium for teaching. It allows me to explore and discover more about technology which I think very beneficial for me when the time comes that I am teaching. This subject gave me an idea on how to make my classroom engagement an exciting and more technologically advanced approach because of the different websites, online assessment tools, and different instructional materials which this subject introduced to us. As we move forward to another subject to be learn, I will forever keep in mind all of the memories, learnings and techniques that I gathered in this subject.

As of this day, the use of technology shows a huge role in our life more importantly it becomes a key point in terms of education. Wherein based on the previews and latest activity I can say that technology is indeed involved in the learning processes of a learner and as part of doing this E-portfolio I realized that as future educators it’s our duty to let our students explore and learn on their own which is also just what we are doing now exploring things that involve the use of technology different sites, apps and so on and forth but acquiring all the information’s and the knowledge’s help to improved our skills as a 21st-century student and as education technology student who will soon be the one to impart the importance of technology in education.

To make it simple the subject Prof Ed 7 (Technology for Teaching and Learning) give us the very important lesson that as a teacher we should be flexible enough to face such situations that come in our way whether when we are in a normal classroom setting or in a digital form of teaching. Overall the subject Prof Ed 7 is a guide to us future teachers to have an idea about what to teach and how to teach using the technology. Wherein we’re not just simply teaching but we are also imparting the use of technology through the process. What to teach in the manner of whether a non-digital or digital tool depends on what would be the situation (face to face classes or through online learning modalities. how can we integrate the use of technology to facilitate and enhance learning it also gives us ideas/strategies on how can we teach better.

There were a lot of opportunities in integration to College students, such highly changing the face of education where we learn what is the role of technologies to us, students. With the help of ICT, it guides us to accomplish our works and task immediately. The effectiveness of ICT support and changes the way of teaching and learning in many subject areas. Through ICT, were appointed to the awareness of different varieties of issues involved in the youth.

Nowadays, the youth are widely exposed to technologies due to its great discovery to almost everything. At first, I have no idea what is the purpose of ICT to us, but as the lessons goes along, I have realized many things like the use of technology to everyone of us. There are much opportunity given to us, College students, such as enhancing our knowledge and capacity by learning the use of ICT including the concept, ideas and its role. College students were required to have online class . The application of ICT is when we focus on different activities, which we manage and answered the tasks given by the teachers, it is easier for us to learn by our self because I, personally, can now accomplish works and duties with my initiative to learn without the assistance of the teachers, which we acquire the skills and knowledge of learning it.

Furthermore, I become more aware on the issues going on to our society because of the use of Social Media. Through social media, a lot of people share and spread widely the occurrence on the problems of the world. ICT does not only focuses in the awareness of the issue yet the awareness of advertisement and announcement of certain notice.

Besides the opportunities, there were also challenges such as low Internet connection and sometimes budget to buy internet data with the low Internet connection, we are having a difficulty to search and send files to the teachers because we cannot connect quickly and spending too much time on low connection, which sometimes distracts the schedule of discussion. The second challenge is the budget for data. Even so, I still find ways to respond on the activities to avoid the troubles. Based on what I have learned on ICT, I would probably apply the skills on almost everyday life because as what we know, computers and technology is everywhere and anywhere. We are exposed to technologies, so we better use these for future purposes to solve and help others.

The use of technology in education is really helpful nowadays especially in times of pandemic where all the schools business, workplaces and force a million to stay at home in order to protect our health in the dangerous virus. Public health authorities recommended limits on social contact to try to contain the spread of the virus. Even though the whole world suffering in pandemic all the schools and other workplaces continued because of the use of technology. Aside of giving an entertainment to everyone, technology is a way to continue the classes even though it is pandemic. Due to the different platforms such as Google classroom, Moodle and other educational application are used in order to support the learnings of the students.

In this subject which is Prof Ed 7 “Technology for teaching and Learning” is really gives us a knowledge on how to maximize the use of technology. We as future Educator or so called 21^st century teacher’s this subject really matters in order to enhance and developed the learnings of each and every one to effectively use of the technology. Also this subject enables the students mind to explore more, deepen their knowledge and self-learning because in just one click all the information that you need will be visible in just a second. Technology is really powerful in order to help the students acquire knowledge and explore different things on maximizing the use of technology. The role of technology has a huge impact to everyone because of easy access easy retention of information, more storage of information, better presentation of information, teaching became more interactive, easy sharing of knowledge and more interest in learning. Technology is continue to evolving today students grown up with internet connected devices at home and in the classroom, which changes the way they learn. Future education technology will transform learning by giving teachers and students a variety of new tools to work with. At the time goes by technology is more improved and developed where all the people are stay connected and learn by the help of the technology.

I realize here how important technology is, we use cellphone, laptop and computers to talk anyone and also it is used to enhance our learning and many more.
