About me

I’m Maayeesha Farzana, a Master’s student at Université PSL, Paris, driven by the intersection of artificial intelligence and society. With a foundation in Computer Science and a lifelong curiosity for understanding complex systems, I explore how data and machine learning can uncover insights about human behavior, environmental resilience, and digital safety. I have done projects ranging from hate speech detection in low-resource languages to data visualization in genomics and sustainable urban farming models. Beyond the lab, I’ve worked with organizations like Green Lead on global climate initiatives and served as General Secretary of IEEE Women in Engineering at CUET, advocating for inclusive innovation.

I’m passionate about advancing socially responsible AI, building fair language models, and developing data-driven solutions to climate challenges. Through my work, I aim to create technology that is both intelligent and socially meaningful.
