MaAhisu ("the app", "we", "us", or "our") is a ride app that connects riders and drivers in real time. Riders can see nearby e-rickshaws, cars, and bikes on the map, while drivers can go online so nearby riders can find them.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using MaAhisu.
By using MaAhisu, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
When you sign in using Google Sign-In, we receive your basic Google account information, including:
Name
Email address
Profile photo
This information is used only to create and identify your account.
We never receive or store your Google password.
Location access is required for the core functionality of MaAhisu.
With your permission, the app uses your location to:
Show your current location on the map.
Show nearby drivers to riders.
Share a driver's live location while the driver is online.
Help riders and drivers connect in real time.
The app requests location permissions such as:

You may disable location permission at any time through your device settings. However, important features of the app may not function properly without location access.
When using MaAhisu, we store information required to operate the service, including:
Whether you are a Rider or Driver
Driver vehicle type (E-Rickshaw, Car, or Bike)
Driver online/offline status
Recent and live location updates while using the service
To improve reliability and performance, we use Google Firebase services.
These services may collect limited technical information such as:
Crash reports
Device model
Operating system version
App version
Technical error logs
Firebase services used include:
Firebase Crashlytics
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)
Firebase Remote Config
FCM also stores a device notification token used only to deliver app notifications.
We use your information to:
Provide live rider and driver location services.
Show nearby drivers on the map.
Authenticate your account.
Improve app performance and reliability.
Send important notifications.
Notify you when an app update is required.
Maintain security and prevent misuse.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your location data for advertising purposes.
Your information is securely stored using trusted cloud providers.

Supabase (account information and location data)
Google Firebase (crash reporting, notifications, and configuration)
Google Maps Platform (map services)
Supabase uses Row Level Security (RLS) so users can access only their own data.
Some data may be processed or stored on servers located outside your country.
We share information only when necessary to operate the app.
When a rider selects a nearby driver, the rider's live location is shared only with that selected driver.
The rider can stop sharing their location at any time using the Stop Sharing button in the app.
When the rider selects a different driver, location sharing with the previous driver stops immediately, and only the newly selected driver receives the rider's live location.
Location sharing automatically ends when the rider stops sharing or when the sharing session expires.
Drivers who are online share their live location so nearby riders can view them on the map.
We also share limited information with trusted service providers that help operate the app, including:
Supabase
Google Firebase
Google Maps Platform
We may disclose information if required by law or when necessary to protect the safety, rights, or security of users or the public.
We do not sell or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We keep your information only as long as necessary to provide our services.
You may:
Update your account information inside the app.
Request permanent deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
After verification, we will delete your personal data within a reasonable period unless we are legally required to retain certain information.
We use industry-standard security measures, including:
HTTPS/TLS encrypted connections
Secure cloud infrastructure
Per-user access controls
Database security through Supabase Row Level Security
While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure.
MaAhisu is not intended for children under the age of 13, or the minimum legal age required in your country.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
