The MAAD event takes place within the scope of the Curricular Unit Acquisition and Analysis of Data (AAD, https://www.ua.pt/en/uc/8431), offered at the University of Aveiro. It has been held since the academic year 2020/2021.
AAD is a PhD-level course included in multiple doctoral programmes at the University of Aveiro, attracting more than 30 students per year. The course emphasises theoretical foundations and hands-on practical skills for extracting meaningful insights from data, enabling students to make informed decisions and contribute effectively to research and real-world applications. It is designed for doctoral students across a wide range of scientific fields, including Environment, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Biology, among others.
The program will feature oral presentations of 27 papers across 5 scientific sessions, chaired by AAD alumni students currently continuing their PhD studies.
