Biography

M. Sajid is a Doctoral (Ph.D.) researcher in the Department of Mathematics at the Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore), working under the supervision of Prof. M. Tanveer at the OPTIMAL Research Lab.  He received the M.Sc. degree in Mathematics from IIT Delhi, India, in 2021 and B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Mathematics from St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi, India, in 2019. He is fervently committed to advancing research in Machine Learning and Computational Intelligence. His research interests include Randomized Neural Networks, Graph Neural Networks, Alzheimer’s Disease Diagnosis via Machine and Deep Learning techniques, and so on. He has published papers in reputed journals such as IEEE TNNLS (IF: 8.9), IEEE TFS (IF: 11.9), WIREs DMKD (IF: 11.7), Pattern Recognition (IF: 7.6), Information Sciences (IF: 6.8), and conferences such as INTERSPEECH (CORE Rank A), IJCNN (CORE Rank B), ICONIP 2024 (CORE Rank B), etc. Furthermore, M. Sajid has contributed as a Reviewer for over 15 refereed journals and conferences such as IEEE TPAMI, IEEE TNNLS, IEEE TFS, IEEE TKDE, IEEE TCYB, IEEE TII, IEEE TSMC-S, IEEE TETCI, Information Fusion, Pattern Recognition, Neural Networks, Scientific Reports - Nature, NeurIPS, AISTATS, AAAI, ICASSP, ICPR, IJCNN etc.

M. Sajid is the Founding Chair of the IEEE CIS Student Branch Chapter at IIT Indore, Convener of IEEE CIS Chapter – MP Section Student Activities and Mentor of IEEE CS SYP Micro Mentoring 2025 Program, Cohort 3. In the past, he served as the Vice Chair of the IEEE Student Branch at IIT Indore, the Secretary of the IEEE CIS Chapter, Madhya Pradesh Section, India, the Ambassador of the IEEE EMBS Student Mentorship Program 2024 and IEEE CS TechX 2025. Moreover, he served as the Reviewer for the 2025 TryEngineering STEM Grant Program, a Program Committee Member for the 31st ICONIP 2024, and an Ad-Hoc Organizer Board Member - IEEE EMBS SAC Summer Camp 2024.

M. Sajid has actively contributed to various conferences and events, serving as a volunteer/organizer for prestigious gatherings such as the IEEE CIS High School Outreach Program on the Foundation of ML & AI and Its Impact on Society in 2025 at IIT Indore; IEEE CIS Summer School on Emerging Trends in Computational Intelligence, DL, & LLMs in 2025 at IIT Indore; IEEE CIS Winter School on CI and Generative AI in 2025 at IIT Indore; IEEE CIS Workshop on Innovation & Leadership in AI in 2024 at IIT Indore; IEEE CIS Workshop on Women in Artificial Intelligence in 2024 at IIT Indore; 10th Indian Conference on Logic and its Applications in 2023 at IIT Indore; 2022 IEEE CIS Summer School on Deep Learning and Computational Intelligence at IIT Indore; 29th International Conference on Neural Information Processing (ICONIP) in 2022, etc.
