The main objectives of this work involve the following aspects:
To Synthesize Ti3C2Tx and M2CTx (M= Ti, V, Mo, Nb) MXenes through optimizing the etching conditions and etchants type, followed by delamination and storage.
To Understand the etching mechanism of MXenes
Fabricating gas sensors and testing the MXenes sensing layer under different gases and VOCs by changing their concentrations at room temperature.
To Enhance the gas sensing performance by in-situ formation of Schottky barrier through synthesizing MXene/MO (M= Ti, V, Mo, Nb) nanocomposites by controlled oxidation.
