M.P. Norman is the inaugural winner of the New Zealand based award for science fiction, fantasy and horror writers of 2020. He received a week retreat in a countryside manor in Tauranga, stipend and mentorship by Lee Murray. He also visited a local high school for a reading and Q&A session.
