Welcome to my personal website!

I am a PhD candidate in Economics at the Paris School of Economics (PSE) and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne under the supervision of Professor Karen Macours. During the 2025–2026 academic year, I was a visiting PhD student at the Vancouver School of Economics at the University of British Columbia, hosted by Professor Claudio Ferraz. 

My research lies at the intersection of development economics and political economy. I study how the organization of the state shapes public service delivery, political accountability, and environmental outcomes in developing countries. In particular, my work examines how the location of administrators, the selection of public officials, and the allocation of authority over land and natural resources affect state performance and citizen outcomes. My current projects focus on Uganda and Bolivia, combining quasi-experimental methods with remote sensing and administrative data.

Before starting my PhD, I worked as a Pre-doctoral Fellow with CGIAR/SPIA at PSE. I previously held research assistant positions at the Inter-American Development Bank and the Institute of Socio-Economic Research at the Bolivian Catholic University. I hold an MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick, where I studied as a Chevening Scholar, and a bachelor's degree from the Bolivian Catholic University.
