Bio:

Des Moines is a wonderful, unique city where I and my family have lived for nearly 30 years and in early childhood. The beaches, small businesses, history, nature, wildlife and people make this place special. I believe community, TLC, public safety, and caring for our environment and wildlife will keep Des Moines thriving.

I’m passionate about protecting our environment, from tree canopy, to salmon streams, to outdoor recreation and sustainable transportation. I served on the 2023 Citizens Advisory Committee, helped create a City Proclamation recognizing the Southern Resident Orcas, fought to protect historic landmarks, forests, public recreation spaces, return of our public planning commission and would like to see improved transportation options like increased shuttle service.

I’m a graduate of the UW, and experienced science educator,  I believe thoughtful, transparent leadership that balances budgets, prioritizes essential services, and safeguards the environment will keep Des Moines thriving and wild at heart!
