Amanda Simms is the passionate founder and Studio Director of LYRIX Dance Academy. With over 10 years of experience working in a studio setting, she brings a strong understanding of both dance training and studio operations. She holds her Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification and has specialized experience working with children with special needs and behavioural challenges. Amanda is dedicated to creating an inclusive, supportive space where every dancer feels valued, understood, and set up for success. As the heart behind LYRIX, this studio is truly Amanda’s passion project. She has built it from the ground up with a vision of combining strong training, positive energy, and a true sense of community. Known for her fun, approachable personality and strong leadership, Amanda creates an environment where dancers can work hard, grow, and genuinely enjoy the process. Amanda is proud to lead the LYRIX family and is excited to continue building a space where dancers and families feel right at home.
Miss Lexi brings over 20 years of dance experience along with a degree as a Child and Youth Worker, giving her a unique ability to connect with and support dancers both technically and personally. Her background allows her to create a positive, structured environment where dancers feel understood, motivated, and confident. Known for her unique contemporary style, Lexi combines creativity with strong technical training, emphasizing turns, jumps, and overall performance quality. Her classes challenge dancers to push themselves while still enjoying the process and expressing their individuality. Throughout her competitive career, Lexi has been highly recognized on stage as an award-winning, highest scoring soloist, consistently earning top placements and recognition for her performance, technique, and artistry. Her success and experience translate directly into her teaching, where she inspires dancers to strive for excellence. Miss Lexi brings a fun, energetic presence to every class while maintaining high expectations, helping dancers grow into strong, confident performers. Lexi can’t wait for you to join her in the studio and be part of the Lyrix family.
Miss Trinity has been dancing since the age of 1.5 and trained competitively for over 11 years, bringing experience, energy, and passion into every class she teaches. Throughout her dance career, she has been repeatedly recognized for her standout performance quality, earning multiple awards for facials, character, and exceptional tap performance. She is also proud to be a National Champion, a reflection of her dedication, talent, and love for the stage. With extensive training, including ballet and tap examinations, Trinity has developed a strong technical foundation. She has also received advanced training in both tap and musical theatre — two styles she is especially passionate about. Her love for performing shines through in her teaching, where she creates a high-energy, engaging environment that encourages dancers to build confidence, stage presence, and a genuine love for dance. She brings a fun, positive vibe to every class while still pushing her dancers to grow and reach their full potential. Trinity is excited to welcome families into her dance family and looks forward to building lasting connections through the art of dance.
