This is the week leading up to Sachem East’s Homecoming celebration on Oct 19th. Kids love to participate and show their spirit and creativity!
Tuesday 10/15, Decades Day: Be a blast from the past and show off your poodle skirts, tie-dye, peace signs, bell-bottoms, neon, flannels, scrunchies & rock star hair!
Wacky Wednesday 10/16: Do you have a wacky hat? Wacky socks? Wacky miss-matched clothes? Wacky hair? We want to see it all at once! Show your inner Wackiness!
Thursday 10/17, Sports Day: Have a favorite sport? Favorite Sports Team? Wear your team’s jersey proud! Be a team player & show us who you root for by wearing your favorite fan gear! Go, Go, GOOOO!!!
Friday 10/18, Full-of-Pride: Lynwood Color Day!! Wear the colors that we are all so proud to share! BE BOLD & SHOW US YOUR RED, BLACK & GOLD!
Our book fairs are held (3) times a year to grow students love of reading with our last one being a BOGO buy one book, get one free. The students come with their class and teachers at a designated day/time to pick out books. Family volunteers help the children to pick out books based on grade level. There is a shopping area filled with bookmarks, pens, journals, and pencils. Our PTA rule is before students may shop from here, they must purchase a reading book. This is a great event for the PTA as the money earned goes to free in school programming for the students. Win, WIN!!

Free Movie Under the Lynwood Stars: Bring a blanket or chair to shine bright out on Lynwood’s lawn and watch a movie with your peers.
Refreshments available for purchase.
Movie: Hocus Pocus
Time: 6:30pm arrival, 7:00 pm show time!

Parent Volunteers Needed
Lynwood is partnering with Miss. Chocolate to help bring in funds to support our Cultural Arts in school programs.

This is Lynwood's biggest apparel fundraiser. This program runs for 2 weeks and we sell school/district themed apparel through an online store to make it convenient for you to order at your leisure. Apparel will be shipped to your home through our vendor (shipping fees apply).
Fridays are SPIRIT FRIDAYS all throughout the year and students are encouraged to wear their Lynwood apparel. This is a great way to encourage school spirit!
September is membership month at Lynwood, so please join us and become a part of a very special team of people enriching the lives of our children – it is truly a rewarding experience. A small membership fee is collected at the beginning of each school year to help support our PTA’s wide array of curriculum enrichment programs and numerous family fun events.
Start your day in a sweet way by sharing in a morning treat sprinkled with love and your favorite Dude! Bring your Uncle, Dad, Grandfather, Coach, Cousin or Neighbor! Any Dude you choose. There will be donuts, coffee and kid’s beverages shared before school starts.
