I have always loved baking, but until recently it was just a hobby to de-stress. As a first grade teacher, stepmom to two teenagers, and mom to a toddler and a newborn, I was pretty busy, but I baked whenever I could. When I quit teaching to spend more time with my children, I found myself using nap time and bedtime to hone my baking skills. My husband frequently took my creations to work. Imagine my surprise when my husband's boss liked my cupcakes so much that they offered to hire me to cater a corporate event! I started small with only a couple dozen cupcakes but grew to cater more elaborate treats, eventually catering large scale orders for weddings.

I am a big believer that desserts can make everything better. My favorite experience is seeing someone simply melt when they eat my food. That "oh my heavens" look just fills me with joy. That's why I bake. I take time to make sure every thing I serve is nothing short of heavenly because that's what I believe desserts should be.
