OVERVIEW
The project aims to improve the user experience and SEO performance of Vanguard Fire & Safety's website. Vanguard Fire & Safety, a leader in industrial equipment, is facing difficulty expanding its digital presence. As a leading player in an industry where safety and compliance are crucial, the company requires a more refined SEO approach that not only enhances search engine rankings but also makes the website user-friendly and valuable to customers. This project will aim to bridge the gap between user needs and business goals with the help of advanced UX research techniques and SEO tools.
The key challenge is the website's low visibility, which is driven by ineffective SEO optimization, resulting in decreased user engagement and conversions. The purpose of adopting UX principles is to build a website that is both functional and easy to navigate, while also improving organic search performance. An extensive case study will explore how SEO improvements and UX changes could work together to achieve these goals.
PAIN POINTS
The main issue identified is that the Vanguard Fire & Safety website lacks any SEO optimization, resulting in poor search engine ranking, low traffic, and minimal customer engagement. Upon reviewing feedback from customers and online reviews, several issues became evident: slow load times, confusing navigation, and difficulties finding specific products due to poorly optimized product descriptions and content. Many users mentioned frustration with the website's search function, which frequently showed irrelevant or incomplete results.
In addition, users have reported a lack of clarity on product features and compliance certifications, both of which are crucial in the decision-making process. The company's inability to properly evaluate the impact of its SEO approach is also a significant issue, as it lacks accurate data and know-how on which improvements are required to boost visibility and engagement. In short, there is a large gap between what visitors want from the website and what the current design provides.
