Nima Torbati presented the ACS-SegNet paper at the ISBI 2026 conference, which was held in London. ACS-SegNet is a hybrid model that combines ResNet and SegFormer for tissue segmentation in histopathology images.

The LSM team, consisting of Nima Torbati and Amirreza Mahbod from Danube Private University (DPU), along with Anastasia Meshcheryakova and Diana Mechtcheriakova from the Medical University of Vienna, participated in the Panoptic Segmentation of Nuclei and Tissue in Advanced Melanoma (PUMA) Challenge. The team achieved second place in Track 1 and first place in Track 2 of the competition.

Amirreza Mahbod participated in the YSA (Young Scientist Association Symposium at the Medical University of Vienna) Science Art competition and achieved second place in the online phase. His contribution, "Vision of the Future: AI-based Precision in Histopathology," was created using the DALL·E (version 3) text-to-image generative model.
