Topics included in this course are organizing data, central measures, measures of variation, distributions, sampling, estimation, conditional probability (Bayes' theorem), hypothesis testing, simple regression and correlation, and analysis of variation.
In the Directed Reading Program (DRP), undergraduate students are paired with graduate student mentors to work on an independent study project. The culmination of the semester long project is a presentation by the undergraduate mentee to the Wesleyan community. I have had the pleasure to mentor three projects so far:
