The Lancaster Youth Baseball & Softball Association will continue to operate the Summer Rec Program for the 2026 season. In 2020, a group of volunteer parents formed together to create a baseball and softball youth program in Lancaster to compete in the SWCL. Parents continue to do so and since have formed an LLC now are a 501c3.
With that being said, LYBSA belongs to the SWCL and we will follow their league rules. You can find these and much more info at swcl.org (Southwest Wisconsin Coaches League). Together, the organizations offer a great opportunity for youth to play an organized sport while learning sportsmanship.
LYBSA is hoping that informal practices can begin in April with formal practices beginning in May. The cost will be $65 per child with a maximum of $150 per family. This fee will help to cover the cost of umpires, insurance, t-shirts, game balls, field prep, and SWCL league fees. We encourage each child to have their own equipment which includes gloves, helmets, bats and softball face protection. We will NOT provide water bottles. The "Little Arrows T-Ball" is NOT part of the SWCL, but it is ran by the LYBSA. They will, instead, have organized games against other kids/teams in their program. This league is for a) 1st and 2nd graders or b) Children who are above 2nd grade, but first timers to the sport. The fee for this age group is $25.00 per child to help cover the cost of their t-shirt, insurance, game/practice balls and field prep.

Please register your child/children using his/her current grade for the 2025/2026 school year. **NOTE**1st and 2nd grade are a different sign up!**
LYBSA will offer a full concession stand (which will include alcoholic drinks again this year) during the home games. We also run the concessions for all of the High School Softball games. These sign ups can be found on the Sign Ups Page (the Rec-Ball concessions sign up will not be out until after May 5th because we have to wait for SWCL to post the league schedule).
Concessions keep our registration cost down. LYBSA encourages you to help out when you’re available and, as always, we GREATLY appreciate it!
The deadline to sign up is Monday, March 23, 2026. Late sign-ups will NOT be guaranteed, so we ask you to sign up promptly. Registration fees will be due during our registration night, Wednesday, April 1, 2026 @ 5:30-7pm @ Big Diamond at the Memorial Park. Please print the Waiver and Code of Conduct forms found on the Registration Forms page and bring them with you that evening.
AFTER registration night, coaches will receive the list of players and do a "draft" with the other coaches in their respective age group. When the teams are formed, the coaches will be reaching out to the parents via the email you provided. Please be patient with this.
