Text to Speech News Reader - Privacy Policy Effective Date: July 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Text to Speech News Reader ("we", "our", or "the App") handles information. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting it through complete transparency.
Personal Information Collection The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal identifiable information (PII). There is no user registration, account creation, or user profile tracking required to use the App.
Locally Stored Data All data generated or imported by the user is stored strictly locally on the user's mobile device using secure Android local storage (SharedPreferences and SQLite database). This includes your subscribed RSS and podcast feed URLs, downloaded articles, bookmarks, and your personal Groq API keys. We have no access to this data, and it is never uploaded to our servers.
Third-Party Network Connections To provide its core functions, the App makes direct outbound network connections from your device to RSS Feed Providers (to fetch articles you subscribe to) and the Groq AI API (when you translate, summarize, or chat with articles using your personal API key). On-device processing (via MediaPipe Local LLM) is run entirely locally and does not transmit data over the internet.
Data Deletion Because all data is stored locally on your device, deleting the App will permanently delete all stored articles, settings, database, and API keys.
Children's Privacy Our App is suitable for users of all ages. Because we do not collect any personal data, we do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
