Lake Watawga is owned by Lakeview Estates Homeowners Association (LVEHOA) and is enjoyed by agreement with Lake Watawga Property Owners Association (LWPOA).
Each Association has its own beach and beach regulations.
The beach, dock, portions of the surrounding shoreline, and other amenities within the boundaries of LVEHOA are owned by and for the exclusive use of its members and their guests.
Lakeview Estates requires its members and guests to have a community ID badge with them when they use their amenities.
LWPOA members cannot use the LVEHOA beach and amenities unless they are with an LVEHOA member with an ID badge, or they will be asked to leave.
Use of the lake, including in winter months, is entirely at your own risk. There are rocks and tree stumps below the surface, and the bottom is irregular, with some areas being very shallow. You cannot see the bottom.
Fireworks are forbidden, at all times and in all locations within Lakeview Estates.
Lake Watawga is a “catch and release” lake. Fish smaller than 12” and larger than 16” must be released, subject to current PA Commonwealth creel limits.
Be advised that all people above 16 years of age are required to have a valid PA fishing license. While LVEHOA does not enforce this law, the Commonwealth conservation officers do.
Fishing is not permitted on or within 20 feet of the LVEHOA beach, including the non-swimming perimeters of the beach.
Any fish stocked must be approved by Lakeview Estates.
All LWPOA Members’ fishing boats must display a decal issued from their community.
Boating is at your own risk. The lake is shallow in many areas, especially near land. Hidden rocks or stumps can cause injury.
Keep well clear of swimmers, wherever they are on the lake.
Boating is not permitted within 20 feet of the LVEHOA beach.
Only electric-powered boats are permitted on the lake. Gas-powered boats are strictly forbidden.
All watercraft owned by LVEHOA or LWPOA members must display a decal issued by their association.
LWPOA decals may be obtained by contacting NEPA Management Association (www.nepamgmt.com 570-421-5409 x335).
Be advised that Commonwealth law requires that all watercrafts must be equipped with a whistle and a Coast Guard approved flotation devices for each occupant. These regulations are enforced by the State.
Be advised that Commonwealth law requires that all Electric-powered boats are to be registered with the Commonwealth, and that these regulations are enforced by the State.
All docks must be approved in advance of construction or renovation by the LVEHOA. A State approval is also required. Please contact Amyj@preferredmanagement.org (570-842-2705) for further information.
