Welcome to the audition site for Leamington and Warwick Musical Society's 2027 production of Sister Act. Here we will provide all the information and resources you need to make sure you're completely prepared for our auditions.
There are two workshops to teach the audition choreography, with the option to practice the songs as well. They will be held at Lillington School, Cubbington Road, Leamington Spa. CV32 7AG, starting at 7.30pm on Thursday 25th June and Tuesday 30 June. You don't need to register for the workshops, please just turn up 😊
Auditions will be from 10am on Sunday 5 July with recalls during the following week if required. Candidates for principal roles should be available for the whole audition day, while for ensemble we would expect you to be finished by around 3pm at the latest. You must register in advance to be considered – the registration form will be linked below. The closing date for registration will be Friday 3 July.
Rehearsals will be 7.30–10pm Tuesday and Thursday evenings from around Thursday 1 October onwards, with a break for Christmas and additional Sunday afternoons from late February as needed. Successful candidates will be expected to attend rehearsals when called, and you will be asked for unavailable dates during application for audition. Show week is 3–10 April 2027. You will need to be available all of that first weekend, evenings from around 5pm and from 1pm on the final Saturday.
Everyone who wants to be in the show will be required to learn and perform a short excerpt of a song from the show and a small segment of choreography. Candidates for principal roles will need to perform a short piece of dialogue. These are all provided on this site via the links at the top of the page. Auditionees must be 17 years old or above. Successful candidates will need to pay annual membership and stage fees. For 2025–26, this was a total of £80 (subject to change for 2026–27), with reductions for full-time students, members above state pension age, or those in hardship, at the discretion of the LWMS management.
LWMS is an amateur musical theatre society open to anyone. We aim to have an atmosphere of equality, friendship, respect and care for each other. We want every member to feel able to give their best, to encourage the widest range and depth of talent, and to reach a wide and diverse audience across our local community.
