The Lehigh Valley Orchid Society (LVOS) is a group of friends in and around the Lehigh Valley brought together by our love of orchids.
Skill and knowledge are lifelong pursuits. Lehigh Valley Orchid Society members vary from educated growers with decades of experience and many AOS awards to the first time novice grower.
We welcome everyone.
Our members interests range from the largest cattleya and vanda to micro-minature orchids such as lepanthes and platystele. Our orchid growing conditions vary from hot to cool, on windowsills, under lights, in terrariums and in greenhouses. All our conditions are unique.

We are excited to welcome you as a new or returning member.
LVOS is centered in the Lehigh Valley but many members live and grow in neighboring Bucks, Berks, Northhampton, Carbon and Schuylkill counties.
We are sure you will find commonality amongst our very diverse group of growers and encourage you to join us at our next meeting, or you can always test the water first and join our active Facebook Group.
LVOS meetings are generally held on the second Sunday of each month and typically feature a local or nationally renowned speaker, an opportunity to socialize, show off what we have growing at our orchid table, and a place to buy, sell and trade orchids (either our own or those brought by our guest presenter). The monthly newsletter recaps what happened at the last meeting as well as what is coming up next.
The Lehigh Valley Orchid Society encourages active participation in local shows hosted by our friendly regional societies. Orchid shows are not only fun and a great shopping experience but also an opportunity for local and national recognition as AOS sanctioned judging events. We are proud of our members and the orchids we grow!
