In late 2017, Richard P. brought the idea of Las Vegas Men's Banquet to the Las Vegas Intergroup and asked for volunteers to help put together an event. Kevin L., Matt D., and Dave B. immediately signed on and the Las Vegas Men's Night Out had an organizing committee. At its initial meeting, the committee appointed Richard P. as Chairman, Matt D. as Treasurer, Kevin L. as Public Contact, and Dave B. as Secretary and Marketer.

The committee planned for an event in late summer/early fall of 2018; however, seeing that the AA calendar in Southern Nevada was filling quickly at that time, the committee decided that spring of 2018 would be better. So on May 5, 2018, the Inaugural Las Vegas Men's Night Out Banquet and Speaker Meeting was held. Sheldon F. from Las Vegas was the featured speaker and the event drew over 80 men from across the Southwest, raising nearly $1,000 for Las Vegas Central Office.

Spurred by the success of the first event, the committee set to planning the 2nd Annual Las Vegas Men's Night Out Banquet and Speaker Meeting. The committee was aided by new member Michael H., and the 2nd Annual event was held on April 27, 2019. It featured Charlie H. from Las Vegas as the speaker and had well over 100 men in attendance, raising more than $1,000 for Las Vegas Central Office. 2019 also saw the establishment of online ticket sales and the website you are currently visiting.

The 3rd Annual Event was scheduled for 2020 but never held due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Las Vegas Men's Night Out Committee, now made up of Richard P., Michael H, and Dave B. is excited about the 3rd Annual (second time is the charm) Men's Night Out Banquet and Speaker Meeting, to be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021.
