Assistant professor Health Economics, University of Groningen
I am an assistant professor of Health Economics at the University of Groningen and a post-doctoral researcher at VU Amsterdam. I completed my PhD at the University of Groningen. I also hold a MSc. in Health economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a BSc. in Economics from Stocholm School of Economics in Riga.
My research interests lie in applied health economics and I study health as a form of human capital. In particular I am interested in the socioeconomic differences in health, the effects of early life conditions on health later in life, as well as consumer incentives in health insurance.
