Here are the frequently asked questions we receive all the time.
How long do I need to stay off the floor? With most coatings you need to stay off the floor for 72 hours, however with some coatings a 24 hr turn around is possible.
How long will my floor last? It depends on the system used and the use it will be subjected to, epoxy is not bulletproof. Although it is very durable if you drop something heavy on it or abuse it it can cracking or dent. Movement of the concrete may crack any coating and water pressure from underneath can effect the coating
I do not want anti skid or flakes on my floor! Unfortunately we would not recommend this or be able to do your project. There are anti skid additives that are not prominent and still be able to help with slips and falls. We add an anti skid or flakes to all floors
I want my apron painted . Ok we can certainly do that however, as long as you know it will yellow even with uv resistant coatings we can do this for you.
The area where I drive in each day looks worn what is that? That is hot tire pick up or normal wear, you should not drive directly into your garage after long rides due to the heat of the tires. Maintaining your clear coat will help reduce this in coming years.
Will the cracks and divots still show after the floor is done? Not necessarily but you may still see some cracks unless contracted to produce a smooth floor. Typically fast curing epoxy patch is used to fill these voids, sometimes with aggregate added in and then grinded smooth. Even with this you may see some things here and there under normal preparation.
