I am a Professor at the Data Science Institute, Shandong University. Previously, I was an Assistant Professor at City University of Hong Kong and a Postdoctoral Fellow at CREST/ENSAE Paris. I received my Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Toronto, an M.S. in Statistics from the University of Washington, and a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from Shandong University.
My research lies in the confluence of machine learning, optimization, and statistics. I am broadly interested in developing theoretical guarantees that align closely with practical experience in these fields. My current research focuses on sampling algorithms and generative models.
Recruiting: We have openings for
Postdoctoral researchers.
Ph.D. students for Fall 2027 who either (1) have a strong foundation in analysis and probability with a passion for theoretical research, or (2) possess strong coding skills and an interest in applied research.
If you are interested in working with me and meet the above requirements, please feel free to get in touch.
