And after all that hard work, completion is now almost in sight. Thanks to an intensive process with the clients, Zbranek & Holt Custom Homes architects, and all executing parties, a beautiful result has been created. The result is something to dream away. Total transformation

Because the existing house did not meet the living requirements of the new residents, a total transformation was chosen with a spacious extension, complete with a completely new basement and a luxurious garden house with a swimming pool. The outer shell of this 1986s house has been completely renovated and restored to its former glory. The new extension is modern and minimalist and has generous Tudor glass facades at the rear. This has created a panoramic view of the garden and the water and plenty of daylight enters the house.

Design modern extension

The modern extension is designed as a matt black volume and thus contrasts the existing house. By placing the modern volume, just like the house, on a grey plinth, both volumes are connected. The grey plinth transitions at the rear into a theatrical staircase with integrated planters towards the lower garden.

Garden house with swimming pool

The semi-sunken garden house and swimming pool are positioned at the back of the garden and enclosed by plants, creating a 'hideaway' that is reminiscent of a luxury holiday home in the green. The extensive outdoor kitchen, the covered fire pit, the swimming pool, and the garden house with guest room and bathroom offer the possibility to stay here for days.

Warm and modern interior

The interior of the house is a feast for the eyes. Sleek elements are connected with each other by flowing and graceful lines. The use of warm earthy tones and textures in the living room gives the space a modern and warm look. The natural stone desk is double-rounded and exudes pure luxury and elegance.

Neutral colors

The use of neutral warm tones, natural materials, and clear lines can also be found in the kitchen. The fireplace is designed as 1 volume with a bench at the dining table. The terrazzo cast floor is also used outside on the terrace so that inside and outside flow seamlessly into each other.

Rich materials

The bedrooms on the upper floors are designed as small apartments with their own en-suite bathroom and spacious walk-in closets. The earthy color palette and rich materialization are also carried through here down to the smallest detail. A media room, fitness room, and a spacious laundry room have been designed in the light-flooded basement. The laundry from all floors enters here via a central laundry chute.
